Attire: Island Formal (with a multicultural twist)

Jan 5 | Hindu Ceremonies and Reception

We invite you to celebrate with us in a way that feels festive, comfortable, and true to you. If you'd like to lean into tradition, women are welcome to wear Indian attire such as sarees, lehengas, or salwar kameez in breathable fabrics and uplifting, sunny hues—perfect for the tropical air. For men, a kurta pajama or dhoti in soft tones like ivory, cream, or pastels is a classic and respectful choice.

January 6 | Christian Ceremony & Reception

For our island-style ceremony, we recommend attire that feels easy, breezy, and polished. For the ladies, mid- to floor-length dresses in airy fabrics like chiffon or silk work wonderfully—especially in soft colors, playful prints, or light textures that move with the breeze. To keep the setting cohesive, we kindly suggest avoiding darker tones like black, navy, or maroon. As much of the celebration takes place on grass, we encourage block heels, wedges, or flats over stilettos. A modern Filipiniana look is also a lovely nod to tradition.

Gentlemen, you’re welcome to wear a classic suit and tie, or opt for a Barong Tagalog for a timeless Filipino touch. Light fabrics and colors like beige, blush, or soft blue are perfect for the season. Add a floral tie or a fun pocket square if you’d like—this is your chance to show some personality while keeping it cool and comfortable.

PS: Traditional attire is only a suggestion—not a requirement. If you don’t have these pieces on hand, light, breathable clothing in cheerful colors will suit the celebration beautifully. Whether you come in a cultural dress or your take on the island-appropriate style, we’ll be thrilled to have you with us. Bonus tip: the lawn is lush, so sandals are always welcome.
